Linda Hogan.

Tadinya sih cuma buat pajang portfolio aja, iseng. Layout-nya pas banget buat majang2 gambar soalnya. Tapi terus lama2 jadi suka ngepin2 gak jelas, hehehe. Ditambah lagi suka saling komen sama si Dinsu (mostly ngomentarin makanan2 kalori jebakan betmen. AAAAAHHH!).

Nah, back to pinterest, tapi terus kok kayaknya quote ini mulai banyak banget ya, maka mulailah saya konsen sendiri membuat board quote.

Walking, I am listening to a deeper way. Suddenly all my ancestors are behind me. Be still, they say. Watch and listen. You are the result of the love of thousands. – Linda Hogan (b.1947) native american writer

Makanya saya suka banget deh sama Cloud Atlas, berasa suara hati sendiri T-T.

Nah, back to Linda Hogan, jadilah saya coba cari2 siapa sih ini, apa aja sih tulisannya, dan akhirnya tau beberapa bukunya, yang mana mesti cari dulu aja di toko buku impor atau pesen dulu (kayaknya sih kemungkinan besar pesen). Terus liat quote2-nya di Goodreads dulu, dan…

saya jatuh cinta.

“Walking, I can almost hear the redwoods beating. And the oceans are above me here, rolling clouds, heavy and dark. It is winter and there is smoke from the fires. It is a world of elemental attention, of all things working together, listening to what speaks in the blood. Whichever road I follow, I walk in the land of many gods, and they love and eat one another. Suddenly all my ancestors are behind me. Be still, they say. Watch and listen. You are the result of the love of thousands.”
Linda Hogan, Dwellings: A Spiritual History of the Living World

Bagusss T-T. Ini yang lainnya :

“A woman once described a friend of hers as being such a keen listener that even the trees leaned toward her, as if they were speaking their innermost secrets into her listening ears. Over the years I’ve envisioned that woman’s silence, a hearing full and open enough that the world told her its stories. The green leaves turned toward her, whispering tales of soft breezes and the murmurs of leaf against leaf.”
Linda Hogan, Dwellings: A Spiritual History of the Living World

“There are ways in, journeys to the center of life, through time; through air, matter, dream and thought. The ways are not always mapped or charted, but sometimes being lost, if there is such a thing, is the sweetest place to be. And always, in this search, a person might find that she is already there, at the center of the world. It may be a broken world, but it is glorious nonetheless.”
Linda Hogan, The Woman Who Watches Over the World: A Native Memoir

Marilah bersama kita bernyanyi lagu Colors of the WindPocahontas ost., lagu favorit saya dari jaman SD (favorit dinyanyiin pas di kamar mandi) :

You think you own whatever land you land on
The earth is just a dead thing you can claim
But I know every rock and tree and creature
Has a life, has a spirit, has a name

You think the only people who are people
Are the people who look and think like you
But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger
You’ll learn things you never knew – you never knew

Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon
Or asked the grinning bobcat why he grinned?
Can you sing with all the voices of the mountain?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind?

Come run the hidden pine trails of the forest
Come taste the sun-sweet berries of the earth
Come roll in all the riches all around you
And for once, never wonder what they’re worth

The rainstorm and the river are my brothers
The heron and the otter are my friends
And we are all connected to each other,
In a circle, in a hoop that never ends

Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon
Or let the eagle tell you where he’s been
Can you sing with all the voices of the mountain?
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind
Can you paint with all the colors of the wind

How high does the sycamore grow?
If you cut it down, then you’ll never know

And you’ll never hear the wolf cry to the blue corn moon
For whether we are white or copper-skinned
We need to sing with all the voices of the mountain
Need to paint with all the colors of the wind
You can own the earth and still
All you’ll own is earth until
You can paint with all the colors of the wind

*speechless* T-T

Mandhut.

    • IYAA gue juga pengen. Makanya udah tau deh nanti mau kerja jadi apa pas disana, mau jadi penjaga Perpustakaan 7 Langit (sedap, kayak judul2 di drama fantasi mandarin).

Amin amin, semoga doanya terkabul, amin 😀
